hohoho... maybe your network card is broken.. (just maybe).
I don't think it's your modem problem since it's quite new...
Here are something you may check: 1. you can check your LAN cable. If the cable broken, it will cause connection instability. If you have an alternative cable, plug and test it.
2. how old is your computer dy? (maybe you know what i mean?)
3. Did you left your telephone line attach from modem to the socket when there's bad thunder outside? It may spoil your network card.
4. did you call the ISP provider (streamyx)? Sometimes their connection can make you scream...
5. Like what maggie said, maybe the trojan has blocked your connection. scan with antivirus or format you comp :)

家里有另一台电脑的话，可以试试看，如果还是一样会断可能就是Streamyx 的问题了。
